LG Electronics is focusing its company-wide capabilities this year on the 'All-for-One' solution that satisfies customers. The photo shows LG Electronics' hospital solution.
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Electronics is promoting an ‘All-for-One’ strategy that leverages company-wide solution capabilities to provide customized services for corporate customers in areas such as smart homes and senior care.
According to LG Electronics on the 7th, Choi Kyoo-nam, head of the Solution Business Division, recently appeared on LG Electronics’ media platform ‘LiVE LG’ to introduce various LG-exclusive solutions that help improve customers’ lives.
Choi described LG Electronics’ solution business strategy as an ‘All-for-One’ that consolidates the company’s capabilities to find and provide everything customers need. Unlike the ‘One-for-All’ strategy that satisfies all customers with a single hit product, this means mobilizing all available technologies and products to perfectly meet customer needs.
He said, “LG Electronics is almost the only company in the global electronics industry that possesses technologies, products, and systems for energy production, storage, and consumption,” adding, “This allows us to provide customers with optimized solutions that efficiently distribute and utilize energy through various products.”
He also introduced the ‘Hospital Solution,’ a key pillar of LG Electronics’ solution business. In the hospital solution field, LG Electronics offers product lines such as surgical, clinical, and diagnostic monitors, digital X-ray detectors, and optimized solutions tailored to medical situations including telemedicine, imaging, reading, and surgery. Additionally, it can establish hospital air conditioning and energy management systems to help patients receive accurate treatment in a comfortable environment.
In the aging society, the senior care sector is one of the most important businesses with high growth potential. Choi emphasized, “The goal of LG Electronics’ hospital solution business is to enable dignified senior care by providing various solutions such as healthcare and non-face-to-face remote medical services, shifting customers from traditional prescription and treatment management to prevention-centered medical services.”
Choi also introduced ‘LG ThinQ Home,’ established last September in Pangyo New Town, Gyeonggi Province. This building recently became the first in Korea to receive the highest Level 1 certification for zero-energy buildings from the Korea Energy Agency.
He explained that ‘LG ThinQ Home’ embodies the three essential values a ‘home’ should have: ‘safety,’ ‘convenience,’ and ‘fun.’ It is a safe home applying facial recognition for access control, a convenient home providing customized services by identifying family members’ body shapes, heights, and movements, and a fun home featuring a ‘smart mirror’ that recommends movies and music tailored to individual preferences.
Choi also emphasized, “This year, we will focus on introducing various successful cases that have been well received in the domestic market to overseas markets to promote the value of LG Electronics’ solution business.”
