[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] Regarding the by-elections to be held on the 7th of next month, the People Power Party emphasized that it is "the day of judgment for the regime and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), which is just one month away."

On the 7th, Bae Jun-young, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary, "There is exactly one month left," adding, "April 7 will be the day to judge the government full of arrogance and dogmatism, the Democratic Party of Korea, and LH."

Spokesperson Bae criticized, "The Democratic Party overturned even its party rules at lightning speed, which was a promise to the people, and ultimately nominated candidates. Now, the shame caused by sexual misconduct and the election costs are the burden of the citizens of Seoul and Busan." The Democratic Party confirmed Park Young-sun as the Seoul mayoral candidate and Kim Young-choon as the Busan mayoral candidate on the 1st.

Bae pointed out, "Park Young-sun, the Seoul mayoral candidate who said 'the Democratic Party should apologize,' has yet to apologize to the victim regarding the sexual harassment by former Mayor Park Won-soon. Furthermore, she praised former Mayor Park as 'a mayor who was very warm to socially vulnerable groups,' which is tantamount to secondary victimization of the victim."

He also criticized, "Kim Young-choon, the Busan mayoral candidate, said at the National Assembly audit last October that power-type sexual crimes are a serious reason not to nominate a candidate. Yet, as soon as the party rules were amended, he declared his candidacy as if waiting for the opportunity and now asks for votes from the citizens of Busan," questioning, "What does he think of the citizens of Busan?"

In response, Kim Ye-ryeong, spokesperson for the People Power Party, also said, "The wise citizens of Busan will sternly judge the Democratic Party through this April 7 by-election," adding, "It will be proven that the pride of Busan citizens does not allow the Democratic Party."

Spokesperson Bae stated, "Candidates Park Young-sun and Kim Young-choon are one body with this regime. They formulated and implemented policies together at the Blue House Cabinet meetings," adding, "Especially if Park becomes the mayor of Seoul, she will continue to take notes on the president's words at the Cabinet meetings and put them into practice as is."

He further said, "Former Minister Byun Chang-heum recently made excuses for the LH incident, which was described as 'crocodile tears,'" and added, "It is worth noting whether former Minister Park and former Minister Kim will continue the symbiotic relationship between the crocodile and the crocodile bird as mayors of Seoul and Busan, respectively, representing the regime."
