On that day, Ryu Ki-jung, who led the Jinju City Social Welfare Council for the past three years, retired, and Kim Ki-ho, director of the Jinju Silver Center, was inaugurated as the new president.
In his inauguration speech, newly appointed President Kim Ki-ho said, "I will fulfill my duties with flexible and adaptable leadership based on 25 years of experience in the social welfare field," adding, "I will do my best to actively listen to and represent the voices from the field so that the council can become a truly representative organization of social welfare."
Jinju Mayor Jo Gyu-il said in his congratulatory speech, "I believe the new president will lead the Jinju City Social Welfare Council well with the experience accumulated through efforts in social welfare," and promised, "I will always communicate and cooperate with the council going forward."
Established in 2005, the Jinju City Social Welfare Council consists of 67 organizations and 126 individual members. It promotes various projects such as social welfare promotion, education and training, coordination, and entrusted projects.
