Selection of 150 Courses in the First Half of the Year... Recruiting Young Trainees from the 8th
Customized Language and Job Training for Companies... Support for Overseas Employment and Settlement
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Human Resources Development Service of Korea announced on the 7th that it will recruit 2,752 trainees starting from the 8th to participate in overseas employment training projects such as K-Move School, which supports youth overseas employment.
In the first half of this year, 150 courses related to the project were selected, and 2,752 trainees will be recruited sequentially from the 8th.
This project is a program that supports language training, job training, employment counseling and placement, and local living information according to the demand of overseas companies. It is operated by dividing into K-Move School Long-term, Short-term, Track II, and Cheonghaejin University. The Service supports 80-100% of the education costs required for the training courses.
Looking at the details, Japan had the most with 50 courses and 1,083 trainees. The United States (47 courses, 767 trainees) and Vietnam (19 courses, 356 trainees) followed. Thirteen courses in Asian countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, and China, and six courses in European and Middle Eastern countries were also selected. Various occupations such as office work, service jobs, medical, information technology (IT), and mechanical technical jobs are distributed. This year, K-Culture occupations were selected. Additional courses include 'Global Hair Designer Training Course' (Singapore), 'Global Sports Protector Training Course' (Thailand), and 'K-Service Professional Talent Training Course' (English-speaking countries).
This year, the minimum wage standards for some countries and occupations were raised. Labor education such as employment contracts and residence support were strengthened. Efforts were made to expand employment options by giving preference to women-friendly courses and diversifying employment countries. Participation criteria were relaxed to support employment for students who temporarily returned home due to COVID-19 and those with excellent language skills. Previously, if a trainee stayed in the training country for more than eight months within one year before the training start date, they were not allowed to participate in the training.
