CU Launches Venti Size Cup Ice and Dellaffe Iced Drinks

CU launches Venti size cup ice and Delafe iced drinks.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 7th that it will launch the industry's first Venti size cup ice and Delaffe iced drinks.

The Venti size cup ice is a product with a capacity of 400g, about twice as large as the existing large-capacity cup ice, 'Big Cup Ice' (230g). Accordingly, the newly launched Delaffe was planned with a capacity of 500ml, 1.5 times larger than the existing large-capacity iced drink size of 335ml.

This year, CU diversified the capacities of Delaffe products to regular (230ml), big (335ml), venti (500ml), and 1L sizes, and expanded the variety to a record high of 34 types. The 1L Delaffe consists of popular flavors such as Black, Sweet, Hazelnut, and Peach Iced Tea, while the BIG Delaffe lineup has been expanded to three types: Lemon, Peach, and Green Grape.

Additionally, iced drinks collaborated with popular ice creams such as Watermelon Bar and Screw Bar will be introduced. The ade series has also been expanded to include Tart Cherry, Grapefruit, and Yuzu. In particular, the Real Apple Ade and Real Strawberry Mango Ade contain actual fruit pieces to enhance the chewy texture.

A BGF Retail official said, “As the trend of large-capacity products continues in the beverage market, we planned new products reflecting customers' needs for larger convenience store iced drinks. We will continue to introduce differentiated products with convenience and individuality to meet rapidly changing consumer demands.”
