[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Seoyangho) will operate the 'High School Parent Academy' for local high school students and parents at the Jung-gu Education Support Center Iro-um starting from the 18th.
The 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) is the first CSAT conducted under the 2015 curriculum, and since there are many changes in both early and regular admissions, it is very important to carefully review and prepare.
This academy prepared by the Jung-gu College Counseling Center aims to help establish a successful college admission strategy by providing preparation methods for regular and early admissions from a current high school teacher and admissions expert in response to the changed admissions system.
The first customized lecture will be held at 7 p.m. on the 18th, where Kim Cheolhoe, a representative instructor of the Korean language section at EBSi, will give a lecture on study methods for the CSAT Korean language section.
This lecture will also present ▲ preparation for school grades ▲ study methods for literature and non-literature in the CSAT Korean language section ▲ and study methods for the elective subjects designated for the 2022 CSAT Korean language section, including Speech and Writing, and Language and Media.
Additionally, the second customized lecture will be held for two hours starting at 7 p.m. on the 25th, where Oh Gyuseok, currently serving as the head of high school academic and career guidance, will lecture on the topic 'How to prepare for curricular and extracurricular activities.'
It will cover important subject-specific preparation methods for early admissions along with secrets to managing the school record, including autonomous activities, club activities, volunteer work, and career activities in the extracurricular area.
Applications are open to all local high school students and parents and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 12th.
Registration is done through the Jung-gu Education Support Center Iro-um website. The lectures will be conducted simultaneously on-site and via live online broadcast, and can be viewed through the YouTube channel 'Euljiro Jeonpasa.'
The Jung-gu College Counseling Center plans to hold special lectures starting in April with admissions officers to learn about the specific evaluation criteria of universities, beginning with this High School Parent Academy.
