2849 Cases Are Mild Symptoms... Total Death Cases Reach 7
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] On the 6th, an additional 67,840 people received the COVID-19 vaccine, bringing the total number of vaccinated individuals close to 300,000 within 8 days since the start of vaccinations. As the vaccination pace accelerates, the total number of adverse reaction reports, including 7 deaths after vaccination, has increased to 2,883 cases.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team reported that as of midnight on the day, 67,840 people newly received the COVID-19 vaccine, bringing the total number of first-dose vaccinations to 296,380. Among them, 291,131 received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 5,249 received the Pfizer vaccine.
As the number of vaccinated individuals expands, reports of adverse reactions are also increasing. In just one day, 1,305 new cases suspected of adverse reactions after vaccination were reported. Of these, 1,300 were related to the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 5 were related to the Pfizer vaccine.
Accordingly, the total number of adverse reaction reports reached 2,883. Among these, 2,849 cases were mild symptoms such as headache, fever, and nausea. There were 11 additional suspected cases of anaphylaxis, bringing the cumulative total to 24 cases. Two more suspected severe cases, such as convulsions, were also reported.
Deaths following vaccination continue to be reported. One additional death was reported the previous day, bringing the total number of deaths within one week since vaccinations began on the 26th of last month to 7 cases.
