Gwangjin-gu 'One Person per Household Testing · Immediate Testing if Symptoms Appear' Campaign

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is launching a campaign for ‘One Person per Household Getting Tested’ and ‘Get Tested Immediately if Symptomatic’ as cases of infection among family members and acquaintances increase.

According to an analysis of recent infection routes by the Gwangjin-gu Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (as of March 5, 0:00), infections in daily life such as hobby activities, gatherings of acquaintances, and workplaces accounted for 39.6%, while infections among family members accounted for 34.4%, making up the majority.

Accordingly, the district decided to promote the campaign to raise residents’ awareness and prevent the spread of infection through publicity of preventive measures targeting all residents.

First, the district published a special issue of Achasan Meari (the district newsletter) containing preventive measures on the 5th.

This special issue introduces infection cases in Gwangjin-gu and earnestly appeals for ▲one person per household to get tested ▲immediate testing if symptomatic ▲refraining from gatherings of acquaintances.

Along with this, it clearly summarizes ▲COVID-19 infection risk self-diagnosis checklist ▲family quarantine guidelines ▲Gwangjin-gu COVID-19 vaccination plan.

In addition, the district is actively promoting the ‘One Person per Household Getting Tested’ and ‘Get Tested Immediately if Symptomatic’ campaign through online and offline media such as the district website, official SNS, social broadcasting, electronic billboards, and electronic bulletin boards.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “If we fail to block infections within the community, my family, neighbors, and all of us are at risk,” and added, “I earnestly ask all residents to participate together in blocking infection factors by getting tested immediately if symptomatic and having one family member get tested.”
