Seoul Metropolitan Council Leads Harmonious Politics with Positive Comments Campaign


[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim In-ho) and the Sunfull Foundation (Chairman Min Byung-chul) held the ‘10th Seoul Metropolitan Council Sunfull Movement Practice Agreement Ceremony’ on the 5th at the Chairman’s Reception Room of the Seoul Metropolitan Council. They agreed to cooperate to spread the Sunfull Movement and promote mutual development to create a beautiful Seoul through legislative activities using beautiful language.


At the ceremony, Cho Sang-ho, the leader of the Democratic Party in the Seoul Metropolitan Council, Lee Sang-hoon (Democratic Party, Administrative and Autonomy Committee), and Sung Jung-gi (People Power Party, Transportation Committee) attended as representatives of the Seoul council members. They were joined by Min Byung-chul, chairman of the Sunfull Foundation, executives, and advisory committee members of the Sunfull Movement.


The Seoul Metropolitan Council and the Sunfull Foundation will promote mutual cooperation to prevent cyber verbal violence and foster youth character education to create a beautiful society and to spread the culture of the Sunfull Movement.


As part of this, all 108 council members of the Seoul Metropolitan Council expressed their intention to participate in the Sunfull Movement by signing the Sunfull Practice Declaration. As representatives of Seoul citizens, they promised to participate in the Sunfull Movement to create a bright and beautiful world, pledging to lead by example in achieving the politics of harmony and integration desired by the people by treating their political colleagues with beautiful words, writing, attitudes, and actions.


On this day, Chairman Kim In-ho, who received a Sunfull Political Declaration plaque engraved with the names of all 108 Seoul Metropolitan Council members from the Sunfull Foundation, said, “During this prolonged COVID-19 period, when citizens’ bodies and minds are greatly exhausted, seeing society stained with harsh language, insults, and slander makes me feel very sorry and a heavy sense of responsibility as a politician.” He added, “Taking this agreement to practice the Sunfull Movement as an opportunity, the Seoul Metropolitan Council will take the lead in fostering a warm political culture based on encouragement and consideration.”


The Sunfull Foundation presented plaques of appreciation to Cho Sang-ho, leader of the Democratic Party, Lee Sang-hoon, and Sung Jung-gi of the People Power Party, who have made significant contributions to Sunfull political activities, representing the ruling and opposition parties of the Seoul Metropolitan Council.


Min Byung-chul, chairman of the Sunfull Foundation, who presented the plaques, added, “I hope that the Seoul Metropolitan Council members who participated in the Sunfull signing will set an example for youth and citizens through language of empathy and consideration and carry out legislative activities that earn respect and love.”


Since 2007, the Sunfull Foundation has been working to eradicate malicious comments and hate speech on the internet and promote internet peace. Through posting Sunfull comments, it strives to spread positive energy in our society by fostering a culture of respect for life and human rights, encouragement, and consideration on the internet.
