Seodaemun-gu and 'Areumdawoon Gage' Beautiful Meeting

Promotion of AjaAja (Areumdaun Volunteer, Apartment Resource Circulation) Campaign Starting April

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) signed a business agreement with the non-profit public interest foundation Beautiful Store (Chairman Hong Myung-hee) on the afternoon of the 4th at the district office's planning situation room.

Established in October 2002, Beautiful Store operates 110 reuse sharing stores nationwide and has been promoting recycling projects as well as donation and sponsorship activities.

At the signing ceremony, Mayor Moon Seok-jin and Beautiful Store's Executive Director Yoon Yeo-young agreed to collaboratively promote resource circulation and sharing activities through the "Aja Aja Campaign" (Beautiful Volunteer, Apartment Resource Circulation).

Accordingly, in April, two apartment complexes within the district will be selected as pilot sites to start the campaign targeting residents.

Residents can donate items at booths or unmanned reception desks installed within the complexes, which Beautiful Store will then collect. Donation receipts will be issued to participating residents.

Additionally, if the donated items reach a certain target quantity, the profits will be shared with locations designated by Seodaemun-gu.

Mayor Moon Seok-jin of Seodaemun-gu said, "Through this agreement, I hope the synergy effect between residents, the Dong Volunteer Camp, and Beautiful Store will increase for resource circulation."
