Jeonnam Province Holds First Non-Face-to-Face Investment Briefing This Year... Kickstarting Attraction Efforts

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province has launched an on-tact investment attraction initiative.

On the 5th, the province announced that it held its first non-face-to-face (on-tact) investment briefing session of the year, explaining Jeonnam's comparative investment environment advantages and differentiated support systems to potential investment companies.

Following last year's briefings in four industrial sectors including biopharmaceuticals, this year, starting with this briefing, the province plans to hold non-face-to-face investment briefings on various advanced industrial fields related to the Clean Blue Economy to attract companies.

In particular, this briefing utilized Jeollanam-do's YouTube channel ‘Euddeum Jeonnam Tube’, with 300 participants including companies, cities/counties, and related organizations joining in real time.

The briefing explained Jeonnam's unique investment attractiveness such as industrial infrastructure and support systems, promising support for successful corporate investments.

Participants asked questions in real time through the YouTube chat window, and officials responded, creating a two-way communication method that reinforced Jeonnam as the optimal investment location.

They also shared changes in the industrial environment and investment attraction strategies due to COVID-19 with cities/counties and related organizations, pledging to unite efforts to achieve this year's investment attraction goal of 250 companies.

Jeonnam Province plans to continuously promote investor-centered customized investment briefings introducing excellent local industrial infrastructure, focusing on attracting future advanced industries such as energy, bio, and drones related to major projects like the Korean New Deal and Clean Jeonnam Blue Economy.

Yoon Byung-tae, Jeonnam Province Deputy Governor for Political Affairs, said, “We will spare no support to help companies establish new bases in Jeonnam and succeed,” adding, “We will do our best to create good jobs and future new growth engines through attracting large-scale advanced companies.”

Meanwhile, Jeonnam Province plans to hold more than seven on-tact investment briefings by sector this year. Previous briefings can be viewed again on Jeollanam-do’s official YouTube channel ‘Euddeum Jeonnam Tube’.
