[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Huons Natural announced on the 5th that it has appointed Executive Director Lee Chung-mo as its new CEO.


Born in 1972, CEO Lee Chung-mo worked in Samsung C&T's distribution division and served as the head of the food purchasing team and quality control at Samsung Tesco Homeplus. He later moved to TMON, where he led the Supermart sales headquarters, driving the online distribution business.


With CEO Lee's appointment as a turning point, Huons Natural plans to promote ▲systematization and advancement of online and offline distribution systems ▲expansion of sales channels ▲strengthening the identity of its flagship brand ‘InnerSet’ ▲development of new products combining R&D capabilities and market needs ▲and consumer-friendly marketing initiatives.


CEO Lee stated, “Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the trend of ‘self-medication,’ where people invest and spend generously on managing their own health, has surged. In line with this trend, leveraging Huons Natural’s strengths of excellent pharmaceutical-based R&D capabilities and production facilities, along with my experience and know-how in online and offline distribution, I will lead the company to grow as a leader in the health functional food business.”
