New Launch of Local Lifestyle Information and Entertainment
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] D'Live Digital OTT Broadcasting announced on the 5th that it will strengthen the position of its local channels through a spring program reorganization starting from the 8th.
Seoul Gyeonggi Cable TV, which is in charge of D'Live's local channels, plans to expand live broadcasts and target local residents' homes with new programs delivering neighborhood news in this spring reorganization.
To deliver news quickly, the existing 'News Live,' which was operated as a 30-minute live broadcast, will be expanded to one hour. In News Live Part 1, broadcast daily at 11 a.m., issues and information of the day such as the regional COVID-19 status and Seoul mayoral candidates' schedules will be delivered. News Live Part 2, broadcast from 11:30 a.m., will consist of a local issue discussion segment and expert analysis. To this end, a new news studio will be established and the anchor team strengthened.
With the March reorganization, D'Live will also introduce a local lifestyle information program, 'Here is D'Live,' delivering new content to local residents every day. 'Here is D'Live' will be hosted daily at 4 p.m. by popular MC Heo Cham and smart Kim Min-hee, providing vivid information and entertainment about our region with various themes each day of the week, including local introductions, fun singing contests, travel, health tips, and cultural life.
A new entertainment program, the farm-to-table home-cooked recipe show 'Youth Table,' will also be introduced. Original diva of the 80s and 90s music scene Yang Soo-kyung and Kim Jong-min, who has gained national favor with his quirky charm, will co-host. The first broadcast will air on the 19th at 3:20 p.m., introducing healthy seasonal foods and markets from various metropolitan areas and preparing a home-cooked meal using local ingredients.
In addition, D'Live Seoul Gyeonggi Cable TV will renew and reopen its official YouTube channel 'Seoul Gyeonggi Cable TV.' By integrating previously scattered YouTube channels, it aims to enhance viewer convenience and actively communicate with viewers in line with new media trends. The renewed official YouTube channel will upload not only news programs and currently airing shows but also behind-the-scenes footage from dressing rooms and waiting rooms, as well as making-of videos.
Seong Nak-seop, CEO of D'Live Seoul Gyeonggi Cable TV, said, “We hope that this March reorganization will not only provide new lifestyle information to metropolitan area residents but also become a regional broadcast that always brings smiles and strength through expanded communication channels such as live broadcasts, online video services (OTT), and YouTube.” He added, “We will do our best to ensure that D'Live's local channels receive much love from viewers, enhance the value of local channels, and become media that coexist and prosper with the local community.”
