[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Park Sam-rye, Chairperson of the Gwangjin District Council, participated in the "GoGo Challenge," a campaign to reduce plastic use in daily life, on the 4th.
The "GoGo Challenge" is a plastic-free movement launched by the Ministry of Environment in January to reduce the indiscriminate use of disposable products and plastics in everyday life.
Participants in the challenge pledge one thing they will stop doing and one thing they will start doing to reduce plastic use through SNS, and then nominate the next participant.
Chairperson Park Sam-rye joined the challenge upon nomination by Jo Young-hoon, Chairperson of the Jung District Council, promising to "reduce the use of disposable products and use reusable tableware."
Chairperson Park said, "Small efforts in daily life lay the foundation for a beautiful society. The small inconveniences we endure now cannot compare to the great happiness we will enjoy in the future. I urge all residents to actively participate in reducing plastic use for a cleaner and better Gwangjin."
Chairperson Park Sam-rye nominated Councilmembers Park Soon-bok and Kim Mi-young of the Gwangjin District Council as the next participants to join the challenge.
