Winner of the '2021 Consumer-Selected Best Brand Award'
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Namdo Jangteo, an online shopping mall operated by Jeonnam Province, has proven to be the best brand in the comprehensive agricultural, fishery, and livestock products shopping mall category.
The province announced on the 4th that Namdo Jangteo won the grand prize in the comprehensive agricultural, fishery, and livestock products shopping mall category at the ‘2021 Consumer-Selected Best Brand Awards’ ceremony held at the Millennium Hilton Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This award is even more meaningful following the ‘2021 National Consumer-Centered Brand Award’.
The Consumer-Selected Best Brand Award was chosen through preliminary surveys and consumer research conducted from August to September last year, followed by expert corporate evaluations. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, among others.
Namdo Jangteo achieved record sales of 32.6 billion KRW in 2020, driven by the shift from offline to online consumption due to COVID-19, increased online consumption among the elderly, and the rise in demand for home-cooked meals due to social distancing. This represents a 411% surge compared to the previous year’s 6.38 billion KRW.
As of the end of February this year, sales have already surpassed 10 billion KRW. Namdo Jangteo hosts 16,886 products from 1,326 companies in agricultural, fishery, livestock products, and processed foods, with online membership exceeding 299,133, significantly contributing to increased sales for farmers and fishermen and revitalizing the local economy.

We will faithfully serve as a bridge between producers and consumers in line with non-face-to-face consumption patterns and strive to become a beloved brand.”
