[Asia Economy Reporters Naju-seok, Lee Hyun-joo, Geum Bo-ryeong, Park Joon-yi] Members of the People Power Party announced on the 4th that they will work together to protect Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, who resigned that day, and to uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Korea and the rule of law.

Joo Ho-young, the floor leader of the People Power Party, said in a meeting with reporters, "It is regrettable to see the reality where a prosecutor general, who was faithfully performing his duties in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution, is being ousted, which directly shows the destruction of the Constitution and the rule of law." He added, "If necessary, our People Power Party will do our best to join forces with Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol to protect the Korean Constitution and the rule of law."

When asked if he plans to meet with Prosecutor General Yoon, Floor Leader Joo replied, "I will take some time to confirm Yoon's intentions, and there will be time to meet."

On the same day, Representative Jung Jin-seok stated on his social media (SNS), "He (Prosecutor General Yoon) today testified with his body to the reality of the destruction of the rule of law, the violation of the constitution, and the corruption of power perpetrated by the Moon Jae-in administration," and expressed his determination, "I and the People Power Party will not hesitate to support Yoon Seok-yeol, who is determined to judge the tyranny of the Moon administration."

Representative Jung evaluated, "The message Yoon Seok-yeol sent is clear," saying, "'I will restore the destroyed constitutional spirit and rule of law,' and 'I will fight alongside the people against the ruthless regime.'"

Representative Ha Tae-kyung also supported, saying, "Let us fight together with Yoon Seok-yeol to protect democracy and the rule of law. Resigning from the prosecutor general position is not the end but the beginning."

Representative Kim Ki-hyun emphasized regarding Prosecutor General Yoon's expression of intention to resign, "Another piece of the puzzle of the 'corruption complete' power takeover has been put in place." He continued, "Thanks to Prosecutor General Yoon steadfastly holding his position despite pressure, disregard, and criticism from the living power, the constitutional spirit, which had been barely maintained, is now at risk of collapsing helplessly," and said, "Now, the only force that can stop this omnipotent regime is the wise people."

Representative Kwon Young-se expressed, "It is an act of treason against the country and the people to strip the investigative authority of the central investigative agency due to factional interests or personal grudges, plunging our society into the abyss of corruption," and earnestly hoped, "I sincerely hope that Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's resignation will become a brake to stop their reckless actions."
