Pharmacy Division Renamed to Pharmacy Online Division
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Bukwang Pharmaceutical announced on the 4th that it will rename its existing Pharmacy Business Division to the Pharmacy Online Business Division and establish an "Online Distribution Team" under the Pharmacy and Online Business Division.
The plan is to consolidate the know-how of products that were individually sold online, such as toothpaste and daily necessities like Sirin Medef handled by the existing Living Distribution Team, as well as popular health functional foods on home shopping channels like Bukwang Medica's Red Omega-3, Krill Oil, and Probiotics, to enhance competitiveness.
In the future, the company plans to launch new products tailored for online consumers, considering suitable products and packaging units for online sales. It will also develop capabilities to quickly enter new online distribution platforms. Through this, Bukwang Pharmaceutical aims to strengthen not only individual product brands but also the overall brand value of Bukwang Pharmaceutical.
A representative from Bukwang Pharmaceutical stated, "Based on brand assets such as Sirin Med and other oral health products, as well as Araksil, a well-known constipation medicine, we will initially expand products related to oral and intestinal health. We are setting the direction for product development by launching an online-exclusive brand to avoid conflicts with existing distribution channels."
