Encouragement for the Hyanggyo Jeongyo and Sungkyunkwan Confucian Association Jinju Branch Inauguration and Retirement Chairmen
Joo Kyu-il, Mayor of Jinju, Holds Meeting with Jinju Hyanggyo and Sungkyunkwan Confucian Association Jinju Branch
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 4th, Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il held a meeting with the outgoing and incoming Jeongyo of Jinju Hyanggyo and the president and executives of the Sungkyunkwan Confucianism Association Jinju Branch in the Entrepreneurs' Room at City Hall.
Before the meeting, Mayor Cho encouraged the former Jeongyo Lee Bang-nam, who stepped down on the 2nd, and presented him with a plaque of appreciation for his dedication and contributions to the development of Jinju Hyanggyo during his three-year tenure as Jeongyo.
After congratulating the 27th Jeongyo Kang Won-gi on his inauguration, Mayor Cho urged, "I ask Jinju Hyanggyo and the Sungkyunkwan Confucianism Association to continue leading education to strengthen our unique traditional culture and the capabilities of our citizens."
Jeongyo Kang Won-gi served as an elementary school principal before retiring, and has held positions such as Chief Protocol Officer of Jinju Hyanggyo and the Sungkyunkwan Confucianism Association Jinju Branch, as well as Executive Vice President of the Jinju Kang Clan Eunyeolgong Branch.
In the case of President Park Jong-sik of the Confucianism Association, he was appointed as the president of the Sungkyunkwan Confucianism Association Jinju Branch in January 2019 to fill a vacancy, completed the remaining term, and was reappointed as the 25th president of the Confucianism Association.
