[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Facebook's virtual reality (VR) headset device 'Oculus Quest 2' sold out within about 5 minutes immediately after the second round of sales resumed on SK Telecom's official website on the 4th.
The Oculus Quest 2 VR pack quickly sold out the allocated quantity as of 3 PM, when the second round of sales resumed on SK Telecom's official website.
The exact sales volume was not disclosed, but it is estimated to be at a similar level to the approximately 4,000 units sold on the first day of the first round of sales on the 2nd of last month.
Previously, during the first round of sales last month, the Quest 2 sold out the total stock within three days, including 4,000 units on the first day. After its release on 11st, a shopping mall affiliated with SK Telecom, about 700 units were sold within an hour, showing a response similar to that of premium smartphone launches.
