[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] City Labs, an ICT (Information & Communication Technology) solution company based on 4th Industrial Revolution technologies, announced on the 4th that it has started the maintenance project for the Hanam City Bus Information System (BIS), continuing to expand its public works (SOC) contracts.
Through this project contract, City Labs will be responsible for comprehensive maintenance of the Hanam City BIS center system and 250 on-site facility devices until the end of this year. As the leading domestic operator in the BIS business sector, City Labs was selected as the final contractor in the competitive bidding process by demonstrating its software and engineering capabilities from past projects, as well as its efficient operation, management, and maintenance skills by type.
Jo Youngjoong, CEO of City Labs, stated, "Including the Hanam City BIS project, demand is continuously expanding across all domestic SOC projects recently, so we are aggressively marketing with the goal of securing comprehensive SOC project contracts. Along with strengthening competitiveness in existing business sectors, the organizational restructuring focused on new businesses based on the 4th Industrial Revolution is gradually becoming visible this year, so we expect this to lead to rapid performance results."
The Hanam City BIS maintenance project primarily focuses on comprehensive maintenance and management of the center system, on-site equipment, and various software, including handling fault reports at the traffic information center. This project, conducted through a restricted competitive bidding process, will continue until the end of this year.
City Labs plans to solidify its position as a leading technology company in the industry by focusing on expanding contracts, as demand grows in digital transportation infrastructure projects such as the installation of bus stop information terminals in the outskirts of Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province last year, and the establishment of an electric vehicle charging infrastructure sharing platform in Jeju.
