[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the 4th, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 26th of last month, a special civil complaint emergency response drill simulating verbal abuse and assault situations by civil petitioners was conducted at the county office's Civil Service Department with the participation of 18 people including public officials and security guards.
This drill was planned to protect public officials from special civil complaints that may occur during civil service processing and to improve on-site response capabilities in emergency situations.
Through the drill, the current status of each mission of the emergency response team in the civil service office was checked, along with the location and proper functioning of the emergency bells installed in the civil service office during emergencies.
Additionally, the cooperation system for rapid police dispatch was confirmed to ensure the safety of employees and visiting civil petitioners in case of emergencies.
Jangheung-gun Mayor Jeong Jong-soon said, “It is very important to promptly protect public officials according to a systematic manual and prevent secondary damage to visiting civil petitioners when special civil complaints such as verbal abuse and assault occur,” adding, “We will conduct regular drills every year to create a safe civil service environment and prepare multifaceted support measures.”
