[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte GRS announced on the 4th that it has signed an agreement with the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries to contribute to the Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund to promote win-win cooperation between companies.

Since 2018, Lotte GRS has been fulfilling its agreement to contribute funds with the Cooperation Foundation for coexistence. Attending the agreement ceremony held on the 3rd were Kim Chi-man, Executive Director of Lotte GRS Management Strategy Division, and Kim Kwang-gon, Head of the Cooperation Foundation, among other officials.

Through this agreement ceremony, Lotte GRS plans to contribute 10 million KRW to support agricultural product packages filled with Korean rice and agricultural products for elderly people living alone in Gwangju Metropolitan City.

Since signing the rural coexistence fund contribution agreement with the Cooperation Foundation in 2018, Lotte GRS has been collecting coffee grounds from Angel-in-us stores to recycle them into eco-friendly coffee fertilizer and support farms in Jeju, and is exploring ways for coexistence with the Cooperation Foundation such as ▲ franchise store management improvement ▲ Youth Hope Sharing Project (win-win job support), and is engaging in various win-win agreements.

Also, in February, as a member of the Global Franchise Council, it participated in the expansion of open restrooms, joining social commitments and practices to enhance public convenience.

A Lotte GRS official said, “Lotte GRS is exploring various ways to coexist with small and medium enterprises and local communities,” adding, “We hope this win-win cooperation fund will help socially marginalized groups in the local community, and we will strive harder to fulfill the corporate social responsibility.”
