Seoul City Helps Match Jobs for Urban Regeneration Coordinators... Launches 'Moduin'

Nationwide First 'Urban Regeneration Coordinator' Job Integrated Support Platform

Seoul City Helps Match Jobs for Urban Regeneration Coordinators... Launches 'Moduin'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Seoul City announced on the 4th that it has started operating the platform 'Seoul Urban Regeneration Moduin' to help match jobs for urban regeneration field coordinators.

'Urban regeneration coordinators' play a role in supporting the implementation by communicating with administration, residents, and experts during the urban regeneration project process. They are professionals hired and active at field support centers within urban regeneration revitalization project areas, currently numbering around 200.

The issue of job matching has been a persistent concern. Urban regeneration coordinators have found it difficult to access employment information or news, and urban regeneration sites nationwide have struggled to find talent with practical skills.

Accordingly, Seoul City established an integrated support system called 'Moduin' to enable everything from training urban regeneration coordinators, managing their qualifications, job matching, to competency enhancement after hiring in one place.

Through 'Moduin,' urban regeneration coordinators can electronically verify their completed training and job education history and receive certificates. They can view and apply for urban regeneration-related job information from Seoul City and nationwide at a glance. In fact, during the two-month pilot operation period, four urban regeneration coordinators found jobs through 'Moduin.'

The city plans to expand 'Moduin' into a comprehensive platform for urban regeneration growth by sharing online educational content and adding expert resources and field center matching functions.

Meanwhile, Seoul City decided to expand the training sessions to two times this year to train 60 prospective coordinators, doubling the scale compared to last year. In addition, in cooperation with Korea University, it is promoting the 'Urban Regeneration Cooperative Course Scholarship Recommendation Project' to support field coordinators in balancing work and study.

Ryu Hoon, Director of Seoul City Urban Regeneration Office, said, "The main agents of urban regeneration are people, from local residents to coordinators supporting urban regeneration," and added, "We will continue to support the ongoing activities of coordinators who are interested in urban regeneration and want to develop their capabilities."
