Gangnam-gu Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases... 5 Infected Through Contact with Cases from Other Regions

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] From the afternoon of the 2nd to the 3rd, 8 confirmed COVID-19 cases (numbers 1312 to 1319) occurred in Gangnam-gu.

Case 1312 is a family member of a previously confirmed Gangnam-gu resident, and cases 1313, 1315 to 1317, and 1319 were confirmed after contact with confirmed cases from other regions.

Cases 1314 and 1318 were confirmed with symptoms such as headaches, but their infection routes are unknown, and epidemiological investigations are underway.

District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun urged, "I ask all residents to keep in mind that a social atmosphere of complacency, thinking 'It’s just me,' can lead to a large spread. Please strictly follow quarantine rules such as wearing masks and social distancing."
