Geochang-gun Delivers 'Healthy Birth Package' to Pregnant Women Exhausted by COVID-19

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 3rd that starting from March, it will support 134 health birth kits to pregnant women registered at the health center who are going through a more difficult time than anyone else due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The health birth kit consists of a total of 8 items including masks, hand sanitizers, and baby products, and the support target is pregnant women registered at the health center with an expected delivery date after January 1 of this year.

The 134 pregnant women already registered will be supported with delivery by courier first, and later, those who register as pregnant women at the Geochang-gun Health Center will be provided until the budget is exhausted.

In addition, to reduce the psychological and economic burden on childbirth families, the “Expanded Support Project for Maternal and Newborn Health Care,” which partially supports the self-payment for postpartum care helpers, is also being operated, and a prenatal education program for pregnant women will be conducted non-face-to-face in the future.
