Gimcheon-si to Begin Construction of Public Postpartum Care Center in May... Final Report Meeting for Detailed Design Service

Completed in February 2022, 2-Story Building Constructed with 7 Billion Won Investment

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 3rd that it held the final design service report meeting for the construction of the 'Public Postpartum Care Center,' scheduled to begin construction in May, at the city hall on the 2nd.

This report meeting was organized to supplement or improve parts that were insufficient in the original design plan, such as various certifications according to relevant laws, following the interim report meeting held last October. It was attended by the mayor, vice mayor, related experts, and supervisors.

The Gimcheon Public Postpartum Care Center will be built with a project cost of 7 billion KRW and will be a two-story building above ground. The first floor will have 17 parking spaces, and the second floor will consist of a mother-child room, infant room, pre-observation room, and breastfeeding room. The target completion date is the end of February 2022.

Mayor Kim Chung-seop requested, "Please join forces so that local mothers can avoid the inconvenience of having to go to other regions to find postpartum care centers, and to create an environment favorable for childbirth, making Gimcheon a happy place for mothers and children."
