KFTC's Financial Authentication Certificate Now Available at K Bank and ShinHyup

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute announced on the 3rd that customers can now obtain financial certificates from K Bank and the National Credit Union Federation of Korea (Shinhyup) to use convenient and secure financial authentication services.

K Bank customers can newly issue financial certificates or register financial certificates issued by other banks through the K Bank application (app), enabling safe and convenient use of financial services.

With the application of financial certificates to Shinhyup's internet banking, customers can obtain financial certificates in a PC environment and use financial authentication services simply by entering a simple password. This is expected to significantly improve financial accessibility for Shinhyup customers.

With the inclusion of K Bank and Shinhyup, the number of financial institutions issuing financial certificates has increased to 18, and it is expected that a total of 22 financial institutions will be able to issue financial certificates by the first half of the year.

A representative from the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute stated, "The number of subscribers to the financial authentication service is rapidly increasing, and its applications are rapidly expanding to public sectors, securities, insurance, cards, education, healthcare, fintech, and more," adding, "We expect to achieve 20 million financial certificate issuances by the end of the year."
