[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] SPC Group announced on the 3rd that it will open the 15th Shake Shack location on the 1st floor of Lotte Department Store Nowon Branch in Seoul early next month.
Prior to the opening, Shake Shack collaborated with illustration artist Atmosphere to present hoarding art (artworks painted on temporary construction site barriers) expressing the young and vibrant atmosphere of Nowon with Shake Shack. Shake Shack has communicated with local communities through hoarding art reflecting the characteristics of each area at every store opening, creating unique public cultural art pieces that customers can participate in.
To celebrate the opening of the ‘Nowon Branch,’ Shake Shack is holding a pre-event until the 18th. Customers who upload a photo taken in front of the hoarding art along with a hashtag on their personal Instagram will be entered into a draw where 140 winners will have the opportunity to enjoy Shake Shack’s menu at the pre-opening event called ‘Community Day.’ Additionally, 60 winners will be selected through event participation on the Happy Point app to join the Community Day.
Meanwhile, Shake Shack will donate to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation to support food boxes for low-income vulnerable families, based on the number of customers participating in the ‘Community Day.’ Furthermore, Shake Shack plans to carry out various activities to practice its brand mission of ‘Stand for Something Good’ (thoughtful values needed in the world), including delivering products to local children’s centers in the Nowon area to coexist with the local community.
