The Most Purchased Service by Koreans is 'Naver'... 2.8056 Trillion KRW


[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] A survey revealed that the service Koreans spent the most money on is Naver.


App and retail analysis service WiseApp announced on the 3rd that as of January, combining all age groups, the online service Koreans paid the most for was Naver.


Naver's estimated payment amount was 2.8056 trillion KRW. This was followed by Coupang (2.4072 trillion KRW), eBay Korea (1.6106 trillion KRW), Baedal Minjok (1.4776 trillion KRW), 11st (1.0288 trillion KRW), SSG.COM (459.6 billion KRW), and TMON (424.2 billion KRW).


However, the online services with the highest payments differed by generation.


For those in their 20s, the order was Naver, Baedal Minjok, Coupang, eBay Korea, 11st, Google, and TMON.


For those in their 30s, the order was Naver, Coupang, Baedal Minjok, eBay Korea, 11st, TMON, and SSG.COM.


For those in their 40s, the order was Naver, Coupang, eBay Korea, Baedal Minjok, 11st, SSG.COM, and GS Home Shopping.


For those aged 50 and above, the order was Coupang, Naver, eBay Korea, 11st, GS Home Shopping, Lotte Home Shopping, and CJ ENM.


The survey was based on the amount paid by Koreans aged 20 and over using credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and mobile micropayments for services operating major online businesses.


Naver's total payment amount includes Smart Store, Webtoon, Music, and Naver Pay. Coupang's total includes payments made on Coupang and Coupang Eats, and eBay Korea's total includes payments on Gmarket, Auction, and Ziggu. Kakao was excluded due to difficulty distinguishing between remittance and payment.
