Gwanak-gu, Lifelong Learning Campus Support Project Call for Proposals Craft Making for Career-Interrupted Women

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will open a public call for institutions and organizations to participate in the Lifelong Learning Campus Support Project from the 8th to the 17th.

The "Lifelong Learning Campus Support Project" is a program that connects residents' lifelong education needs with local learning resources to operate various lifelong learning programs. Its purpose is to expand residents' participation in lifelong education and guarantee nearby learning rights.

The total project budget is 35 million KRW, and 10 selected institutions and organizations will be supported with operating expenses for lifelong learning programs and activity expenses for learning facilitators (personnel executing program operations).

Eligible applicants are lifelong education-related institutions and organizations located in Gwanak-gu, which must have an educational environment capable of accommodating at least 10 learners and be able to operate lifelong learning programs that reflect local characteristics.

Institutions and organizations wishing to participate can check the announcement and budget execution guidelines on the Gwanak-gu Office website's public notice section or the education portal notice board, download the application form, prepare the project application and plan, and submit them online.

A district official stated, "Additional points will be given to programs targeting educationally marginalized groups affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic or those operating educational programs reflecting local characteristics."

Also, selected projects must participate in at least one event such as an exhibition, booth, or stage presentation based on educational achievements at the 2021 Gwanak-gu Lifelong Learning Festival. If the festival is held online, participation in video production related to educational achievements is required.

For more details, contact the Lifelong Learning Team of the Education Support Division at Gwanak-gu Office.

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "In the era of a 100-year lifespan, reflecting residents' demands for lifelong learning, we hope for active participation from institutions and organizations operating various lifelong learning programs that highlight local characteristics. Going forward, the district will do its best to prepare diverse support measures so that anyone in the community can learn what they want by utilizing excellent local resources."
