[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Financial Group announced on the 2nd that at the Affiliate Management Committee (AMC) meeting held on the same day, it resolved to review CEO candidates for six affiliates: Hana Asset Trust, Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management, Hana F&I, Hana Financial TI, Hana Ventures, and Fink.
Kang Dong-hoon, former Compliance Officer at Hana Bank, was selected as the candidate for the new president of Hana F&I, and Park Geun-young, current Executive Director and Head of the ICT Group at Hana Bank, was selected as the candidate for the new president of Hana Financial TI.
Kang Dong-hoon, candidate for president of Hana F&I, and Park Geun-young, candidate for president of Hana Financial TI, are expected to be appointed for a two-year term following approval by each company’s board of directors and regular shareholders’ meetings.
Kang Dong-hoon, born in 1961 and the candidate for the next president of Hana F&I, graduated from Korea University with a degree in law. He joined Korea Exchange Bank in 1988 and has served as a professor in the HR and credit training department, managing director of compliance officer, and executive director of compliance officer at Hana Bank.
Kang has over 30 years of banking experience, possessing deep understanding and insight into domestic and international financial environments. Especially as a bank compliance officer, he is evaluated as a suitable candidate who can inject growth and vitality into the company based on his excellent legal and strategic insight across the business.
Park Geun-young, candidate for the next president of Hana Financial TI, was born in 1963 and graduated from Dankook University with a degree in computational statistics. He joined Hana Bank’s IT department in 1991 and has worked in IT-related departments for over 20 years, making him an IT expert within the bank.
Park was responsible for the IT integration between the former Hana Bank and Korea Exchange Bank in 2016, and based on his outstanding expertise, he was selected as the candidate for president of Hana Financial TI, which leads the group’s digital transformation.
Meanwhile, Lee Chang-hee, president of Hana Asset Trust; Kim Hee-seok, president of Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management; Kim Dong-hwan, president of Hana Ventures; and Kwon Young-tak, president of Fink, were selected as candidates for reappointment, each extending their term by one year.
The CEO candidates of each company are expected to be officially appointed following board meetings and regular shareholders’ meetings scheduled for March.
