On the 2nd, an internet community raised controversy over the serialized webtoon titled 'Professor Jeong Min-seok's Cartoon World - Diary of Teacher Haerang,' which was posted on the official website of Ajou University Hospital.

This is because several expressions that appear to be misogynistic were found in the webtoon serialized by Professor Jeong.

The webtoon included content such as "This kind of tall and curvy young lady is called eye medicine," "Playing with ugly women is just a physical substitute," "The alcohol drinks me. Bring more alcohol. And women too," "Seeing a stutterer reminded me of a friend nicknamed Stutter. That friend groped women every time he talked to them," and "When seeing a beauty in a swimsuit, getting excited and growing wildly is..."

Netizens criticized this as misogyny and sexual harassment. There were also claims that Ajou University Hospital, which did not restrain the webtoon content, bears responsibility.

Ajou University Hospital stated that they will review the webtoon content and take appropriate measures.

Meanwhile, earlier, Professor Jeong caused controversy by boasting on Twitter that his son became an assistant professor at an early age and mentioned that his son obtained a medical doctorate with his help.

On the 1st, Professor Jeong posted on his Twitter, "My son became an assistant professor in the Department of Anatomy at Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine starting today. He graduated from Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine and received a medical doctorate at Ajou University School of Medicine with my help," adding, "My son was born in September 1989, so he became an assistant professor at the age of 31."

After this post was uploaded, controversy over 'dad's chance' spread, and eventually, Professor Jeong deleted the Twitter account.

However, suspicions that Professor Jeong gave special favors to his son are deepening. It was revealed that his son's name was listed as the 'first author' on many of Professor Jeong's papers. The son was also found to have worked as an assistant in Professor Jeong's laboratory.
