Geochang County Scholarship Foundation Donates 5 Million Won Each to Arim 1004 Movement

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that Gu In-mo, the governor of Geochang-gun, donated about 10 million won to the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation and the Arim 1004 Movement Headquarters.
Governor Gu said, "I am grateful to many people who congratulated me on my child's wedding and feel that receiving their congratulations is enough," and decided to give back to the local community by donating 5 million won to the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation and 5 million won (including 60 bags of rice) to the Arim 1004 Movement from the 10 million won congratulatory money.
Through the donation, Governor Gu expressed, "I am thankful to many people who sent their congratulations and sincerity at my daughter's wedding despite the difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). I have always served the residents with a heart of service during my public service career, and as governor, I wanted to repay the love of the residents and participate in the local community's donation culture, so I united with my family to donate to the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation and Arim 1004."
Governor Gu has one son and one daughter with his spouse, Mrs. Lee Seon-ok, and since his inauguration as the 7th elected governor, he has continued steady volunteer work and good deeds such as scholarship donations, neighbor aid funds, COVID-19 salary donations, and meal service volunteering at the Geochang-gun Life Shelter.
