Living Spaces and Various Agricultural Training for Returning Farmers and Rural Settlers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting students for the Hapcheon-gun Agricultural Startup Complex, which was created to provide stable agricultural settlement by offering living spaces for return-to-farm and return-to-village individuals, various agricultural education, and rural experience events.
The complex is equipped with facilities including 10 studio-type units (40㎡) and 5 two-room units (50㎡) as residential buildings, 2 leisure creative studios, individual and group vegetable gardens, a communal garden, and a practical training center.
The recruitment announcement period is from the 2nd to the 15th, and applicants must first visit the site facilities in person and then submit their application in person to the Return-to-Farm and Return-to-Village department at the Hapcheon-gun Agricultural Technology Center's Agricultural Policy Division.
However, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), postal applications postmarked by March 15th are also accepted.
After the first and second recruitment rounds, the remaining units in Building 3 (studio-type) are being recruited, and the target applicants are capable urban residents under the age of 65 who wish to move to Hapcheon-gun and return to farming.
The enrollment period is approximately 10 months from March to December this year, during which various theoretical and practical training and experiential farming programs will be completed.
During the period, the tuition and facility (housing) usage fee for the studio-type is 200,000 KRW per month, with a deposit of 3,000,000 KRW.
Hapcheon-gun plans to prioritize applicants with larger families and younger generations, selecting candidates based on document evaluation (60%) and interview evaluation (40%) in order of highest scores.
