155 Cases of Adverse Reactions for AstraZeneca, 1 Case for Pfizer

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] As 1,442 people eligible for COVID-19 vaccination received additional doses yesterday, the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals reached 23,086.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced that as of midnight on the 2nd, 22,191 people received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 895 people received the Pfizer vaccine.
By vaccination institution and target group, 17,402 people (8.6%) at nursing hospitals, 4,771 people (4.4%) at nursing facilities, 895 people (1.6%) at COVID-19 patient treatment hospitals, and 18 first responders to COVID-19 were vaccinated. Residents and workers under the age of 65 at nursing hospitals and nursing facilities received the AstraZeneca vaccine, while workers at COVID-19 patient treatment hospitals were eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.
The number of reported adverse reactions after COVID-19 vaccination increased by 4 cases in one day, totaling 156 cases. All were mild cases commonly occurring after vaccination, such as headache, fever, nausea, and vomiting.
Most adverse reactions occurred after AstraZeneca vaccination, accounting for 155 cases, while there was 1 reported case after Pfizer vaccination.
