From March 29 to April 9
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that it will conduct free rabies vaccinations for the first half of the year from the 9th to April 9th to prevent rabies, a zoonotic infectious disease.
The city plans to provide free vaccinations for dogs over 3 months old living in mountainous areas with a high risk of contact with wild animals or those that have been registered.
Dog owners who wish to vaccinate their pets can visit the nearest designated location according to the set schedule and receive the allocated vaccine on a first-come, first-served basis.
The mobile vaccination schedule will be posted on the city hall website, but the schedule may change due to rain or other circumstances, so for accurate information, please contact the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Center or the Animal Protection Division of City Hall in advance.
A Yangsan City official urged, “Dogs over 3 months old must be registered and vaccinated against rabies, and for the prevention of infectious diseases and the safety of citizens, they should be vaccinated at least once a year.”
