[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 2nd that it was selected as the number one company in the tire industry for 12 consecutive years in the '2021 Most Admired Companies in Korea' survey conducted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC).
The Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC) has been selecting the 'Most Admired Companies in Korea' since 2004 by comprehensively evaluating the overall value areas of companies, including innovation capability, shareholder value, employee value, and customer value.
Hankook Tire explained that it received high evaluations for leading the market through innovative corporate activities and providing satisfactory quality and services to customers based on excellent financial soundness and product competitiveness.
In particular, it achieved the highest scores in the industry in more than 10 out of 12 items related to six core values such as management value and social value, and also ranked first in the separate survey category of 'Most Admired Company in the Same Industry.'
Hankook Tire is securing the highest level of technology and quality by realizing technological innovation centered on the Korea Technodome to strengthen its global research and development (R&D) capabilities. It is expanding strategic partnerships with global premium brands such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, and supplying original equipment tires to about 320 models from 46 global automobile brands worldwide.
Recently, it has been supplying original equipment tires for globally notable electric vehicle models such as Porsche's pure electric Taycan. Additionally, it was selected as the exclusive partner to supply electric vehicle tires from the 2022/23 season, when the third-generation race car is introduced in the world's most prestigious electric car racing competition, 'Formula E.'
