Forecast, Park Sang-jin, Former National Assembly Senior Specialist, Appointed as New Standing Director

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation announced on the 2nd that former National Assembly Senior Specialist Park Sang-jin has been appointed as the new standing director.

Director Park, originally from Goseong, Gangwon Province, graduated from Sokcho High School, then attended Dankook University and the University of Seoul, earning a master's degree in urban planning from Seoul National University. He later obtained a Master of Laws from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, a master's degree in economics from the State University of New York, and a doctorate in urban and regional planning from Dankook University.

His public service career began in 1995 after passing the legislative exam. In the early 2000s, he worked at the National Assembly's Finance and Economy Committee, handling legislative reforms related to finance and institutionalizing the injection and repayment of public funds. He served as a specialist for the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, Special Budget and Accounts Committee, and Planning and Finance Committee, and as a senior specialist for the National Assembly's Special Committee.

The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation expects Director Park to demonstrate his expertise and experience in depositor protection and financial and economic stabilization.
