[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Emart and SSG.com announced on the 2nd that they will hold a large-scale discount event to celebrate Samgyeopsal Day.
Emart will offer domestic pork belly and neck meat at 1,358 KRW (per 100g), a 30% discount from the regular price, when paid with event cards from the 3rd to the 7th. Shinsegae Point members can receive an additional 20% discount through the "Nonghal Gapsida" campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, resulting in a total discount rate of 50%.
SSG.com will hold the "Samgyeopsal Week" promotional event from the 3rd to the 10th. More than 30 products, including domestic pork belly and pork belly for stew, will be sold at discounted prices, with discounts up to 40%. To promote pork sales, customers who purchase more than 30,000 KRW worth of discounted products during the event will receive 3,000 KRW in SSG Money as a reward.
Discounts on vegetables and wine will also begin. As part of the "Nonghal" event, Emart and SSG.com will offer a 20% discount on major vegetables exclusively for Shinsegae Point card members.
