Mayor Kim Jongsik visited the Mokpo Indoor Gymnasium, where the 'Mokpo City COVID-19 Vaccination Center' was established, to inspect the site and emphasized "thorough preparation and readiness for similar situations."
The city changed the vaccination site for 360 workers at 20 nursing facilities to the Mokpo Indoor Gymnasium after a Hadang Health Branch employee tested positive for COVID-19 on the 25th.
In particular, the city has been making thorough preparations for vaccination by establishing the 'Mokpo City COVID-19 Vaccination Center' at the Mokpo Indoor Gymnasium at the end of January.
Mayor Kim Jongsik stated, "We will maintain vigilance until the end to ensure that COVID-19 vaccinations for nursing facility workers and residents proceed without any setbacks."
