[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 1st that from the 2nd to the 5th, it will conduct bids for 33 construction projects worth approximately 128.3 billion KRW, including the 'Yeongjongdo Undersea Water Pipeline Construction' requested by the Incheon Metropolitan City Waterworks Headquarters.

Among the scheduled construction bids, 29 projects will be executed as region-restricted bids or region-mandatory joint contracts.

The Public Procurement Service expects that through this, local companies will secure about 90.2 billion KRW (70% of the total) based on the construction contract amount.

Region-restricted bids, in which only local companies participate, account for 23 projects worth 55.3 billion KRW, and region-mandatory joint contracts, which require forming a joint supply consortium with local companies, include 6 projects (with an expected local company participation of approximately 34.9 billion KRW).

The 'Yeongjongdo Undersea Water Pipeline Construction' project is a local water supply project with an estimated budget of 47.8 billion KRW to construct an undersea water pipeline from the road near Bukhang Back-up Complex in Seo-gu, Incheon to the Haneul Park section in Yeongjongdo, Jung-gu. The construction period is three years.

The Incheon Metropolitan City Waterworks Headquarters expects that once the Yeongjongdo Undersea Water Pipeline Construction is completed, residents living in the Yeongjongdo area will be able to receive a stable supply of tap water, thereby improving their living environment.

This week's largest bid scale is in Incheon at 47.8 billion KRW, followed by Jeonbuk (25.6 billion KRW) and Gyeongnam (12.9 billion KRW). The total bid scale for other regions amounts to 42.0 billion KRW.
