[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Alton Sports announced on the 28th that it has launched a new electric bicycle model, the 'Benjo 20st,' emphasizing cost-effectiveness.

According to Alton Sports, the Benjo 20st is the smallest size in the mid-range electric bicycle 'Benjo' series. It is a practical mini-velo type product equipped with 20-inch wheels and features a steel frame to enhance durability and overall cost performance. Additionally, the top tube height has been lowered for easier mounting and dismounting.

The motor applied is a BLDC 350W model with excellent climbing performance. The battery is a compact, detachable 7Ah external battery, which Alton Sports explains allows for commuting and school travel without difficulty.

Furthermore, the bicycle is equipped with a 7-speed transmission and alloy V-brakes, which aid efficient riding and are easy to maintain and service. For convenience, essential features for night riding such as a front light and mudguards to prevent clothing contamination have been applied.

An Alton Sports representative stated, "The newly introduced Benjo 20st is the most cost-effective product among mid-range electric bicycles," adding, "It is characterized not only by its price but also by its compact size and practicality, making it recommended for users focusing on short-distance travel."
