[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] North Korea has published a biography of Chairman Kim Jong-un. It notably showcases nuclear capabilities, including nuclear weapons development, the Singapore North Korea-US summit, and the dispatch of a delegation to the Pyeongchang Olympics.
On the 28th, the external propaganda media outlet 'Uri Minjokkkiri' released a book titled "Great Man and the Era of a Strong Nation" on its homepage. This is effectively a "Kim Jong-un biography," spanning about 620 pages and 7 chapters, covering achievements in defense, diplomacy, as well as economic, social, and cultural fields during Kim Jong-un's 10 years in power.
In particular, an article titled "Nuclear for Nuclear" explains the 2016 hydrogen bomb test and the following year's hydrogen bomb test designed for intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) deployment. The book conveys Chairman Kim's creed, stating, "Only power can work against hostile forces, and only the nuclear deterrent of justice can counter the nuclear weapons of the puppet," and "With powerful nuclear forces, we must end the history of the United States' unilateral nuclear threats."
Regarding inter-Korean relations, it focuses on the dispatch of the delegation to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the Panmunjom inter-Korean summit. The Pyongyang inter-Korean summit is introduced only with the phrase "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration."
Additionally, names such as Mrs. Lee Hee-ho, Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun, and Unification Church founder Moon Sun-myung are directly mentioned along with anecdotes. However, there is no mention of President Moon Jae-in in the section on inter-Korean achievements.
Meanwhile, this book is known to have been published to mark Chairman Kim's 10 years in power.
