On the First Day of COVID-19 Vaccination, a Total of 15 Adverse Reaction Reports... [Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the first day of COVID-19 vaccination in South Korea, the 26th, 15 cases of adverse reactions following AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine administration were reported.


According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) as of midnight on the 27th, a total of 15 cases of reported adverse reactions after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine were recorded.


Specific adverse reactions included mostly mild cases such as headache, fever, nausea, and vomiting. The CDCH stated, "These are all common symptoms that appear after vaccination." They added, "Causality between the adverse reactions and the vaccine administration has not been confirmed."


The total number of AstraZeneca vaccine recipients on the previous day was 18,489. By vaccination institution and target group, 13,929 were vaccinated at nursing hospitals, 4,548 at nursing facilities, and 12 first responders received the vaccination.
