Yeongcheon-si Launches Youth CEO Training Project ... Supporting from Startup Basics to Success

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 27th that it will support the startups of young people with creative ideas and good business items this year as well as last year.


From March 2nd, Yeongcheon City and the operating institution, Gyeongbuk Automotive Embedded Research Institute, will recruit participants for the 2021 Yeongcheon City Gyeongbuk Preliminary Young Entrepreneurs Development Project until April 9th.


The Yeongcheon City Gyeongbuk Preliminary Young Entrepreneurs Development Project is a project that discovers young people with creative business items and technical skills and nurtures them into young CEOs through systematic startup support from the beginning to the settlement of startups.


The recruitment target for this project is citizens aged between 19 and 39 who have an address or registered domicile in Yeongcheon City or who have started a business within one year.


The recruitment fields are technology startups, knowledge startups, sixth industry startups, and general startups. Financial real estate, food service and lodging, entertainment business, and leisure are excluded industries.


The final seven young entrepreneurs selected through document evaluation and interviews will be supported with 12 million KRW for startup activity expenses, including commercialization funds.


Applicants who wish to participate can download the application form from the Yeongcheon City website or the Gyeongbuk Automotive Embedded Research Institute website and submit it to the operating institution.


Mayor Choi Ki-moon said, "Through this project, we expect young people with innovative ideas to compete fiercely and for active information sharing among entrepreneurs to revitalize the local economy and create synergy effects within the region."
