Seocho-gu Yangjaecheon Equipped with Non-Face-to-Face All-in-One Disinfection System

When Visitors Extend Their Hands, Infrared Sensors Automatically Measure Temperature and Dispense Hand Sanitizer... Fever Checks and Hand Disinfection Time Reduced for Convenient and Fast COVID-19 Prevention

Seocho-gu Yangjaecheon Equipped with Non-Face-to-Face All-in-One Disinfection System

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu announced that it has equipped Yangjaecheon with a new concept all-in-one COVID-19 prevention system that combines contactless fever screening and automatic hand sanitizing functions.

The contactless all-in-one prevention system automatically measures temperature within 2 seconds and sprays hand sanitizer when a visitor places their hand under the infrared sensor.

By adopting an ultra-precision infrared sensor that measures the temperature of the hand or wrist, the margin of error is ±0.2°C. When the temperature is normal, a voice guide says "Normal," and if the temperature is high, a voice alert saying "High temperature" sounds along with a warning beep.

Unlike existing thermometers, the newly introduced all-in-one prevention system allows temperature measurement and hand sanitizing to be done simultaneously, significantly reducing waiting time.

Additionally, its small size makes it easy to install even in narrow spaces.

The district has pilot-installed the devices at four public restrooms along Yangjaecheon and at the offices of on-site workers to gauge citizens' reactions, and is considering expanding installation throughout the entire river section in the area including Yangjaecheon.

Meanwhile, Seocho-gu is making various efforts to create a "COVID-19 Clean Zone, Yangjaecheon."

These efforts include ▲conducting campaigns for "one-way walking" and "mask wearing," ▲placing hand sanitizers throughout the river, ▲broadcasting COVID-19 prevention guidelines, and ▲fully closing Yangjaecheon on weekends during the cherry blossom blooming period, all of which have received positive feedback from citizens.

Kim Seyul, head of the Water Management Division of Seocho-gu, stated, "With the newly introduced contactless all-in-one prevention system, citizens using Yangjaecheon can easily and hygienically carry out personal prevention," and added, "We will continue to make Yangjaecheon a place where citizens can feel safe."
