Opening of Dajeong Hana Daycare Center in Sejong City
Hansol Children's Care Foundation (CEO Moonja Oh) participated as the third executing agency in the Hana Financial Group's public childcare center construction support project, and Dajeong Hana Childcare Center officially opened on December 28 and began full-scale operations.
Dajeong Hana Childcare Center is being carried out by a consortium of Hansol Children's Care Foundation and Hansol Aikium, and it is the first childcare center completed since the selection of the executing agency.
Located in Dajeong-dong, Sejong City, Dajeong Hana Childcare Center covers a total area of 946㎡ and is equipped with childcare rooms, playrooms, and teacher's rooms, accommodating up to 99 children. To create a user-centered space, various forms and layouts were expressed in diverse ways, and the space was designed with flexible areas and circular flow paths to stimulate children's five senses, receiving positive evaluations.
In particular, the entrance where children and parents meet and part was expanded, and a powder room was placed in the parent waiting area to simultaneously address children's separation anxiety and quarantine issues. The linked doors of the multipurpose room create a flexible space and circular flow paths for various activities, and the reading area and digital media space within the play zone form an educational environment that supports integrated education.
Additionally, the partially exposed ceiling in the playroom stimulates children's imagination, and the large windows in the childcare rooms maximize natural lighting. Furthermore, diverse educational programs can be conducted through the central hall children's library and the modular smart farm (a system for growing plants indoors).
A representative of Hansol Children's Care Foundation stated, “The environment of Dajeong Hana Childcare Center is a new attempt that breaks away from the conventional uniform childcare center spaces, and we expect it to become a new space that expands opportunities for children's experimentation and exploration and allows them to demonstrate infinite creativity.”
Meanwhile, as part of its social contribution projects, Hana Financial Group supports the construction of public childcare centers through agreements with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and local governments, and the foundation was selected as an executing agency responsible for facility consulting and space configuration in this project on April 10 of last year.
