[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Zigbang has entered the competition to recruit IT talent by announcing a starting salary of 60 million KRW for developers.
On the 26th, Zigbang announced that it will drastically reform its wage system to strengthen its digital DNA and secure outstanding talent. Not only the newly hired development positions (developers, data engineering) but also the salaries of all existing Zigbang employees will be raised simultaneously.
This wage system reform is part of the digital-first approach following the closure of offline offices and the full adoption of digital work (cloud working).
Zigbang has set the starting salary for development positions at 60 million KRW. Additionally, it will uniformly increase the annual salary of current employees by 20 million KRW. To transform from being digital-oriented to a digital-first company, Zigbang is strengthening developer recruitment. This is a high level among the starting salaries for development positions recently announced in the IT industry.
For experienced development candidates who applied in the first half of this year, all new hires will receive a special bonus equivalent to one year’s salary from their previous company.
Furthermore, the annual salary of non-development employees currently working at Zigbang will be uniformly increased by 10 million KRW. This decision is to achieve Zigbang’s vision together with internal talents leading the proptech industry.
Seongwoo An, CEO of Zigbang, said, “Securing IT talent has become an important mission for Zigbang’s vision of innovating residential culture,” adding, “Through various attempts leading the startup industry, we will attract excellent talent and create new innovations.”
