Damyang-gun Recruiting Students for 'Garden Expert Training Course'

[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 25th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will select candidates for garden expert training for residents to build an ecological garden city embracing nature and to spread garden culture in daily life.

This garden expert training was prepared to cultivate garden professionals and spread garden culture through specialized theoretical and practical education.

The training course is entrusted to Chonnam National University, the designated institution for garden expert training, and consists of five subjects including understanding and management of garden plants, garden creation methods, and garden management and operation, conducted over a total of 70 hours with 20 hours of theory and 50 hours of practice.

The completion requirements are attendance of more than 80% of the entire course, and a score of 70 or higher on the completion exam and practical evaluation. The training fee is 800,000 KRW per person, with trainees paying 50,000 KRW and the county supporting 750,000 KRW.

The number of recruits is 15, and applications must be submitted in person to the Damyang-gun Office Forest Garden Division or the relevant eup/myeon office by the 3rd of next month. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of recruits, selection will be made by lottery.
