[Photo] AstraZeneca Vaccines Arrive at Gangnam-gu Health Center

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] A transport vehicle carrying AstraZeneca vaccines arrived at Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the morning of the 25th, and officials transferred the vaccine transport containers.

The vaccines that arrived that day were 300 doses for five locations, including nursing facilities for home visits, managed by Gangnam-gu Public Health Center.

The vaccines, which departed from the Icheon logistics center in Gyeonggi-do, were maintained at a temperature of 2~8℃ and escorted by police cars and military police vehicles to arrive at this health center.

The district will begin the first vaccinations at 9 a.m. on the 26th, targeting about 100 residents under 65 years old and staff at the Segok-dong Seoul Nursing Home.

Six nursing hospitals in the area will have vaccines directly transported to the hospitals, where medical staff will conduct vaccinations independently. Gangnam-gu plans to complete the first dose vaccinations by March 8.

Jung Soon-gyun, the district mayor, said, “We will do our best to ensure the safety of residents and the prompt administration of vaccinations.”
